Hardoy - Grand Comfort chair with footrest from Weinbaums

The classic Hardoy Chair in a special comfortable design: Hardoy Butterfly Chair Grand Comfort offers compared to the original Hardoy Chair a wider seat, has a high back and is with 45cm seat height especially recommend for larger grown people with a body height of 1.85m or more. In addition, the Hardoy Butterfly Chair Grand Comfort chair is similar to the original in quality, manufacturing and function.

Here we offer the set consisting of chair and matching footrest (ottoman). Of course the Hardoy Butterfly Chair Grand Comfort and the Hardoy Grand Comfort Ottoman can be ordered separately as well.

Designed by the architects Bonet, Kurchan and Ferrari-Hardoy for a Buenos Aires-based planning office in 1938, the Hardoy Butterfly Chair was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. After completion of the series production by Knoll, the chair’s unique design has been periodically reprinted by various manufacturers - since the beginning of 2010 through the German design manufacturer Weinbaum. 

WEINBAUM has refined the original design of the Hardoy Butterfly Chair and uses for its production only premium materials. The original version of the Hardoy Butterfly Chair comes with a brushed, at four intersections welded frame of stainless steel. To emphasize the chair’s exceptional seating comfort, the covers are exclusively manufactured from vegetable tanned leather from cattle bare neck.
