S 32 Dark Melange from thonet

The cantilever chair S 32 (without armrests) fits perfectly into a wide variety of furnishing areas - whether conference room, lounge or waiting room, restaurants or in the living area - it cuts a fine figure everywhere.

In January 2024, the well-known German designer Sebastian Herkner will present the "Rethinking Classics: S 32/S 64 DARK MELANGE" collection curated exclusively for Thonet for the first time: Natural colour nuances for the wooden elements and frames of the chairs meet dark iridescent wickerwork. This gives the classics a completely new expression, which can be used to create special accents in the design of rooms. With the elegant, dark wickerwork, Thonet presents a material innovation based on natural colouring processes.

The result is five combinations of one stain colour each for the oak wood elements and a corresponding coloured powder coating for the chair frame: elegant black, rich, dark brown Chestnut, elegant, yellow-brown Amber, light pink Rosewood and the natural shade of green Sage. The natural grain of the wood remains visible thanks to the use of stain and is also emphasised.
