D40 from tecta
The Breuer chair D40 - a classic Bauhaus furniture - goes back to a draft of the designer Marcel Breuer from 1928. Until today the chair has lost none of its attractiveness, quality or convenience. Rather, Breuer's tubular steel furniture is unbroken in popularity worldwide and part of numerous exhibitions.
The lightweight filigree steel tube cantilever frame and armrests of the armchair D40 are made of nickel plated steel. Armrests come with comfortable beech pads. Seat and back are either covered with iron yarn, fabric or leather or made of Tecta natural cane.
tecta
Tecta is a furniture company based in German Lower Saxony. With the protection and innovative continuation of original Bauhaus models they selected a very prominent field of activity and a very fastidious one. Released by the avant-garde of the 1920s as an risky venture in small-scale production, Tecta managed it exclusively to produce in larger scales today. This has been authorized officially by the Bauhaus archive in Berlin. So Tecta belongs to the leading names when it comes to Bauhaus furniture.
