Knot from Normann Copenhagen
The Japanese designer Tatsuo Kuroda has created a chair for Normann Copenhagen which unites classic materials with modern aesthetics. The Knot chair has a clean and simple expression that leads the thoughts to classic 1950s furniture. The overall impression is determined by the details, such as the dominant jointing points in natural paper cord, which also provide optimal sitting comfort. Tatsuo Kuroda is a graduate of Tama Art University in Japan and has worked with product and furniture design since 2006. The structural components of the Knot chair are tied together with paper cord, which provide both support and a stylish visual expression; and, despite his Japanese background, Tatsuo has been inspired by traditional Scandinavian design.
Normann Copenhagen
Normann Copenhagen is a way of living - a mindset. We love to challenge the conventional design rules. This is why you will find traditional materials put into untraditional use such as a Stone Hook made of Icelandic stones, a vase made out of silicon and last but not least a dog made out of plastic.
