Galileo from Lumina

Designer Emanuele Rici created the Galileo pendant light for Lumina in 1998, which emits light with crystal-clear purity. The light is characterised by the solid, flawless crystal glass, which emits both direct and indirect light.

The Lumina Galileo LED pendant luminaire sets the perfect scene for any counter area or dining table and creates a special, radiant ambience. It is not only a beautiful dining table lamp, but also an artistic lighting object of radiant beauty. 

The popular pendant light could no longer be produced for a long period of time as the necessary machine technology for the sophisticated construction of the glass diffuser was no longer available. However, thanks to new technologies developed and designed for this purpose, Lumina can now produce a diffuser identical to the original, which is milled from a single block consisting of several layers of glass glued together.

A process that requires sophisticated equipment and nine hours of milling and grinding work to achieve a perfect quality result - a glass that, when illuminated, is transformed into a jewel of unparalleled beauty and magic that is unrivalled on the market.

Galileo also features a new CNC-machined aluminium base that houses the LED motor and is modelled on the original model that was so popular in the past.
