FL/Y (metallised) from kartell

The FL/Y - iconic hanging lamps are a luminous surprise - like light, airy bubbles of soap, iridescent in the reflection of the light. Made in transparent methacrylate, the diffuser is not a perfect half globe: the cut lies just under the middle so the light can be collected better.

FL/Y is available in different sizes, transparent, glossy or matt coloured and metallised. The bulb included in the scope of delivery is replaceable. The lamp is designed for LED bulbs with max. 15W (E27 socket).

The luminaire is made of recycled plastic. A recycled thermoplastic technopolymer obtained from pure waste material that has been set aside and is not contaminated by other materials. The choice is dictated by the possibility to use scrap material that guarantees the aesthetic quality and structural requirements of the product, reducing the emissions necessary for its production. With this material, Kartell intends to go one step further in its commitment to environmental sustainability, using recycled material while eliminating waste from the environment and turning it back into raw material, activating a virtuous process of circular economy
