The Egg™ (table) from Fritz Hansen
The Egg™ table was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952 to complement his Ant™ chair. Today, the elliptical design is suitable for a casual dining room setting or as a graceful home office solution thanks to its wonderfully versatile shape and expertly crafted materials. With its specially curved shape and quality craftsmanship, it is a perfect addition to any modern setting.
Originally made of teak and rosewood, the distinctive Egg™ table is now available in tasteful, FSC-certified walnut veneer. The model with its three polished chrome legs was designed as an intimate dining table and functionally elegant home office. The organic shape of the tabletop creates a casual ambience where people do not sit directly opposite each other. The table is suitable for a variety of room situations. It is the ideal furnishing for small kitchens, dining rooms, corridors or offices. Its egg shape together with the round edges enlivens rooms with graceful simplicity and thoughtful craftsmanship.
