Michael Hilgers

After training to become a cabinetmaker and subsequently studying a degree in architecture, Michael Hilgers set up „!idee“ in 2001, his own office for interior and product design. In addition to interior design projects for international fashion labels the Berlin designer has specialised in seeking out previously unfilled product niches and filling them with minimalist purpose-built solutions. Amongst other designs, Hilgers has gained renown for his innovative ideas for balconies.
