Followed by internships with the industrial designers Pedro Sottomayor in Lisbon and Raffaella Mangiarotti in Milan, she decided to apply for the Master of “Spatial Design” at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Architecture. She graduated in June 2022 with her thesis on “Treehouses made from CLT” which she realised in collaboration with Arolla, a company that produces Cross Laminated Timber in Portugal.
After her thesis she continued to work with Arolla in Lisbon as a freelancer and in the meanwhile developed her first official product in collaboration with the designer Pedro Sottomayor – the GEMA lightning family for ZEITRAUM.
In her work as a designer she likes to experiment different materials and learn about production techniques. Her focus mostly lies on aesthetics and composition, in both product and spatial design.
Along with the project of the GEMA lightning family and the context of Portugal, she decided to expand her knowledge on ceramics and therefore started a weekly course on the restoration and painting of tiles, to get to know more about this cultural heritage and to potentially continue working in this direction as a designer.
