After studying interior architecture in Detmold and lecturing on furniture design at the University, the two graduate engineers established their 08 I 16 quergedacht design studio in the town of Lippstadt in 2004. Light fittings and innovative lighting planning are among the central elements in their varied activities; the ability to question basic principles and practise lateral thinking gives their work its special character.
