Forma from classicon
With his Forma design, Christian Haas interprets the 1940s/50s archetype of a classic desk lamp in solid wood. He reduced the original shape without trivialising it and thus created an unmistakable silhouette: the asymmetry of the base and the domed shade of glued solid wood stripes, make the design appear to have grown organically.
The inherent warmth and sensuousness of the naturally grown material of which Forma is made, ash or walnut wood, lends the new luminaire its homely character.
A dimmer switch is precisely fitted into the back of the lamp base and guarantees simple operation. The large, slightly inclined shade with a satinised diffuser panel and a dimmable warm white LED ring provides pleasant, glare-free light. Forma is versatile and cuts a fine figure on a desk as well as on a sideboard, shelf or bedside table.
