Red And Blue from Cassina

Lounge chair with frame in black stained beech. Seat (blue) and back (red) in lacquered multi-layer plywood. The extravagant chair was designed by the designer and architect Gerrit Thomas Rietveld whose works were characterized by strict geometry and the reduction of color to the primary colors of yellow, red and blue. Rietveld tried in this way to bring together fine art, design and architecture.
