The chair was produced by Cassina until 2000 and is reissued today, updating the finish solutions and treatments of the archive model. The refined elegance of the structure with cylindrical legs and arched armrests is revived thanks to Cassina's experience in leather processing and first-class joinery.

The complexity of the object is transformed into a seemingly simple design that fully reflects the ingenuity of the original project. The frame in precious wood represents the balance between artisanal tradition and the innovative technology of numerical control.

The design, on the other hand, is characterised by the self-supporting seat, which consists of a single piece of leather bent around the structure. The decorative stitching has been removed, while the back section is still finished with a leather strap that supports the backrest and further enhances the feeling of comfort.

The frame of Chair 905 is made of ash or American walnut. The seat and backrest are covered with core leather and available in various colours.
