Meltdown (Floor) from cappellini

The famous Meltdown lamp by Johan Lindstèn is available in three versions: as a floor, table and pendant lamp. The base of the floor lamp has either five or eight shades, the table lamp has one. For the pendant version, there are three different formats (single, a cluster with 4 shades and a cluster with 8 shades).

The shades of all these lamps have a characteristic spherical shape made of coloured pâte de verre glass that has been mouth-blown into a mould. In 2019, the Meltdown lamp has been renewed with a new colour proposal that envelops the atmosphere of winter evenings in a soft green light. The glass used for this lamp is a unique expression of the ancient art of master glassmakers; small air bubbles or variations in colour intensity are due to the craftsmanship and are a valuable addition.
